Depending on its material and condition, preparation can include visual and AI-assisted assessment, careful cleaning, deodorising, small repairs, restoration and a final quality check before listing.

We choose a method appropriate to the item rather than treating every piece the same way.
Restore where practical
Minor repairs and presentation work help useful pieces return to service without hiding their history.
Check and describe
We inspect the finished item and aim to show and describe material condition issues clearly in its listing.
Honest character
Preloved does not mean pretending an item is new.
Some pieces may retain a faint cosmetic mark, light fabric pilling or a small visible repair. Those honest signs of a previous life do not automatically make a useful item unsuitable for another home.
Our aim is quality, affordability and transparent presentation—not perfection or a medical-grade sterilisation claim.
